The problem might be that my server doesn't like implicit encryption:
20:37:47: [0:00:23.793] Netzwerk: CURLINFO_TEXT: About to connect() to xxx.xxxxxxxx.de port 990 (#0)
20:37:47: [0:00:23.793] Netzwerk: CURLINFO_TEXT: Trying 195.78.xxx.xxx...

Can I force rainlendar to use explicit encryption on port 21?

Rainlendar uses libcurl (http://curl.haxx.se/) for the network access so anything it supports should work with Rainlendar too. If you enable the debug log (http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?option=com_easyfaq&Itemid=26#faq21) you can see all the traffic between Rainlendar and the server which probably helps with debugging.

Hmmm... that would mean that they are normal events like all the others so Rainlendar cannot know which is which. If the birthdays use a category you can try to filter them from the calendar window by defining the "Excluded categories" setting in Windows->Settings->Calendar.

You can use the filter field in the manager dialog to show only the tasks with specific state. The filter gets automatically filled if you click the status icon for one of the task in the list. The filter can also be used to show only tasks for the given location ( location:place ). You can then print the list from File->Print (if you select the tasks from the list only they will be printed).

It's quite old so the bug probably doesn't get fixed any time soon but I can try the workaround which at least should make the text flow the right direction.

I am also trying to connect to a remote calendar using ftps. Using the URL
ftps://XXX:XXX@SERVERNAME.de/Default.ics
I get a connection error. Removing the s so Rainlendar uses:
ftp://XXX:XXX@SERVERNAME.de/Default.ics
I can download and upload the calendar.

I have been unable to find another way to encrypt the transmission of the file. Do you have any suggestions or doesn't it work with rainlendar at all?

Is there a way of printing tasks to create a todo list?

I have many tasks for many people at various locations, and need to produce specific lists eg, print all open calls for a specific location.

I can sort by location, but I still get both open and completed calls in the print out.

I would like to know if it was possible to disable birthdays coming from my outlook calendar?

In outlook I can hide the birthday calendar, but Rainlendar seems to see the calendars as one.

Temp Fix: I got my Error msg problem to go away! Basically, I simply changed Import Limit for the calendar with the error to "Past 2 Years", and now no error. I changed setting back to its original "Everything" and the error returns. Actually, I found that any choice, other than Everything, results in no error.

Programmer: I think there is a problem with the dropdown tool for the Import Limit. While I was troubleshooting, I got the dropdown to display the list twice (see attached image). When I picked from the top/first list, I even got the field display to go blank. I'm guessing that the date range being queried from Google is blank or corrupted - thus the error message. I sure hope my temp fix helps others in the meantime. I love this app, but the missing calendar entries were killing me.

Those problems only occur when hebrew (and every other RTL language) is the selected language.
The letters themselves are inverted on the Advanced tab in the Settings window, and in the manager no event or task are being shown while the graphics breaks. even the about window shows nothing.

Note that there is also a small bug that resets the value of the "Number of future days the list shows" field to zero in the Advenced tab when you switch from hebrew to english.

It was a long and difficult ride.
The translation from English to Hebrew took me a lot of effort because there are crucial differences between LTR and RTL languages. the already translated material was completely incorrect and I had to start almost from scratch. in addition the Translation file was faulty, full with version holes so I had to fix it by combining and updating it with a blank one with all the required fields.
so much time and effort..
at least i'll be worthy to get my hard won pro version? :) http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/images/fbfiles/images/translation1.jpg

Don't know why that the duplicate issue seems never happened, even I go back to test b129 and b130, it's so strange.

But I found a new bug, also with Google Task :
1) set a task's due time as 2013-05-21 09:00 >> press "OK" >> wait few second, on to-do list, it will change as 2013-05-21 00:00
2) open (edit) it >> no change any things >> press "OK" >> wait few second, on to-do list, it will change as 2013-05-20 00:00
3) if redo step 2), will change again.

This is beta version! It has not been tested.

Changes:
o Added "Event min height" setting for the day and weekviews.
o Chromophore skin has a large calendar window.
o Added colorless and dark versions for the Chromophore skin.
o The message store setting in the new calendar wizard did not get set properly.
o The times were saved incorrectly if the local time was set to British time zone.
o the "uppercase" attribute for the font can convert the text now also to lowercase or capitalize it.
o Lua scripts can be put to the Scripts folder under the config folder too.
o Skin addons can be applied to different skin version (although this might break the skin).
o The time item which shows only the week number is mapped to the first day of the week so that it is the same number as in the calendar.
o The z-position can be set separately for each window in the skin.
o Added advanced option to bring all windows on top when any of them is clicked.
o The hidden Google calendars are also hidden in Rainlendar.
o Tasks were shown on two days in the calendar window.
o The tray icon can now show also the week number (See "Number in tray" advanced setting). Note that this only works if the tray icon image has enough frames.

I think you are correct. I created a new Google calendar with 3000 events and everything worked just fine so the number of events does not seem to cause the issue after all.

Can you give any details about the problematic event which might help with others to locate similar ones too? Was it a single or a recurring event? Was it originally created with Rainlendar or in the Google's website?

The event in question that got corrupted for me was a monthly re-occurring event with no end date

It was originally created on my android phone almost 6 months ago and had no issues until start of May so not sure why it got corrupted all of a sudden

I have had the same problem since a week or two. I have tried reducing the number of entries, but it does not seem to make a difference. Perhaps I need to persevere, but I have limited the calendar to future events.

Welcome to the forum, stentj.

You can define the timezone with :
1) timezone code (CET, UTC, ...)
2) numbers (-2, -4, +5, +7); but don't support half hour timezone, eg. -4.5
3) You can also use this format: "(+/-)HH:MM" (e.g. "-02:30", it's equal "-2.5").
