Import von ics-Dateien in lightning und 3 Years ago
Hi Kimmo,
thank you for the version 2.9 of "Rainlendar-Lite" (B111) 32 bit. I am very pleased with the improvements.

1. I've found that "Lightning" 1.0b5 *. ics files Rainlendar imported difficult, if an entry has more than one alarm time (but it works).
Will this work in "Rainlendar-Pro" better?

2. I have one wish: "Lightning" displays data in nice overviews. That would be a nice addition for me.

best regards
Joachim

The Pro and Lite versions are the same application so there is not difference how the alarms work. Can you attach a sample file which isn't imported properly?

Here is an ics-file. "Thunderbird/Lightning" stutters when imported. But it works!

The attachment is missing. If you cannot attach the ics file try zipping it first.

So, the problem is that files exported from Rainlendar are not imported correctly to Lightning? I checked this with Sunbird and the file events got imported but the alarms were not. The reason for this is that Sunbird (and probably Lightning neither) doesn't seem to support AUDIO-type alarms which Rainlendar creates. I cannot change the alarm type in Rainlendar since it would break the custom audio for the alarms so the support for audio alarms should be added to Sunbird/Lightning.
