TOPIC: Displaying an Image

Displaying an Image 5 Years, 4 Months ago
This is a particularly noobish question, I've tried reading the manual but I thought it would be quicker to ask it here.

How do you display an image?

I need to do this because CD Art Display sits in my Rainmeter sidebar, and when I'm not listening to music there's a huge hole there. So I thought I'd display an image of CAD in place of the actual thing.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Please see the manual under the image meter.

Keep in mind that I have little past experience in Rainmeter code.

I have this:
Code:

[IMAGE]
ImageName=C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins\Dynamic\CAD.png

But launching it gives the error message Secton [IMAGE] is not a meter or a measure.

You're making it hard for me....
Anyway from my understanding this is what I've written.
Code:

[MeterImage]
Meter=IMAGE
ImageName=C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins\Dynamic\CAD.png

It doesn't need to be bound to a measure (I think). But the error message still appears.

Sorry to be a pain, but I want people to use the docs and wiki first so that we find holes and errors in both.

Code:

[MeterImage]
Meter=IMAGE
ImageName=C:\Program Files\Untitled.png

This worked fine for me with just the three lines in an .ini file in the skins/Arcs directory. I then enabled it from the right click context menu. Tried messing with the white space, but still could not get it to fail. Check your Rainmeter.ini to make sure the error is not coming from there.
