Having issues making tasks. My calendar is a Google calendar one that I use to sync my laptop and desktop together, but for whatever reason when I go to make a new Task for my To-Do List, it doesn't give me any calendar options.

I've tried to make a new calendar specifically for tasks (since I only need tasks on my desktop) but I can't make a new calendar without syncing to some outside source (Google, outlook, milk, etc.) so that's pretty useless.

So any ideas as to how to fix this? Is it a Google calendar thing or a 'somehow I broke something' thing?

It's a Google calendar thing. Google doesn't have a public API to access the tasks so it's not possible to support them.

Anyway around it or do I have to sign up for a different service (like milk)? Which ones are free?

For now you need to use some other service for your tasks. Remember The Milk is free if you don't need their pro features.
