Hello all,

Downloaded Rainlendar and installed it on my Fedora Core 6 Machine today ( done upon the advice of a co-worker ) ... one question .. how do you add a recurring event. It would appear to be a simple issue. Here, it would probably be much better if I explain the steps I am taking:

1. Right click on the desktop rainlendar calendar. (Actually I
right click on the last day of this month, Janruary 2007,
since the last day of the month is the recurring day for my
event that I would like to add)
2. The menu then appears afterward, I follow the "Add Event
Link"
3. I fill out some information pretaining to the event on both
the event-tab and recurrence-tab.
4. Once I believe I am finnished entering in informaion. the
okay button, the one you would normally click to submit
that your done, never turns on. What I mean is, I can never
press the "ok" because it appears to always be disabled.

Can some help??

Double check to make sure you have a calendar selected. On the main information page at the bottom there is a button that says calendar with a text box next to it. If the text box is empty you need to pick a calendar.

I'm having the same problem, and it's not a calendar selection issue. When I go to add an event in rainlendar there is no calendar to choose from. I use Outlook's calendar, and set that as the only one, however it doesn't show when you click on the calendar tab when you're trying to add an event.

Any suggestions?

indyjoe: I don't think the problem is the same since Outlook doesn't work in Linux. Anyway the list only shows calendars which support writing. Outlook calendars do not do that at the moment.

After taking a couple days off, I have now return .. the problem I have ben having is that I have no calendars. Maybe somehting is missing in my theory??

I guess if that's the case, where di I get calendars from?? I am on a Linux machine, and so I do not use Oulook.

Any suggestions??

Go, into options and click on calendars. Usually there is a default calendar here. Either way try adding a new ical calendar and see what you get.
