Rainlendar Loses Settings on Rebooting Windows 7 3 Years ago
Hi Everybody,

I just installed Rainlendar2 Lite 64bit on my Sisters Windows7 64bit PC.

I set it up to just how I like it .....

** I Positioned it in the Top Right Corner.

** I set the Scale for each Window "Calendar","Today", "To Do" and "Events"

** I added the Categories I thought she may use.

** I Locked the Settings.

If I turn off the PC .... The next Time I Boot it up ....It is in the Middle of
the Screen.... with all My previous Settings lost ... and back to Default.

While I am typing this .... I am thinking maybe there is a "Save" button .. I am not
seeing ??

I hope someone may know of a "Fix" for this.

Thanks in advance ..

Cheers... Ron.

The settings are saved to a file called rainlendar2.ini which is located in the Rainlendar's settings folder (see www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?option=com_easyfaq&Itemid=26#faq1). You should make sure that the file does not get deleted or otherwise changed by anything during the bootup. Otherwise you'll lose all the settings.

Hi Rainy,
Thank you for your help.

I have had my Sister's PC ( Windows 7 64bit ) here for a week... it wouldn't run for her.

So I have got it up and running ...
( seemed to be Google Chrome and Skype Updates ... causing the Jam up )

So I started tidying up the rest of the PC ...and thought it would be good to put RL2 on there for her.

As I said it would revert back to Default settings ... but since your reply ( thank you very much )

I copied my RL2.ini ( XP Pro 3 32bit )and placed it in the folder on her PC ... and it seems to have done the trick after rebooting a couple of times ,....it is in the position where I Locked it ( Top ,Right Hand Corner )

The only problem now is the "To Do" window isn't there. ??

But If it is not a simple fix ... I'll leave it .

Cheers... Ron

If you have the "Hide list windows if there are no items" setting enabled the todo window won't be shown unless you have open tasks. You can also hide/show the window from the context menu (Windows->Todo list").
