Background of Calendar?? 7 Years, 9 Months ago
Hi Kimmo,

I just installed RL2 and because I did not like the "dark" look of the Shadow-Theme I started to make my own.

I managed to change almost everything, some of it by trial and error.

But one thing I can't find out: How do I change the background of the (Dual-) Calendar from transparent to a bitmap, just like ToDo and Events ??

I enclose a screenshot to illustrate that. I want the calendar to look just like ToDo and Events.

How do I do that ??

thanks
bw

P.S.: I know the title bar of the calendar and the previous- next-buttons are not perfect yet, but I know how to do that ...

Oh, and one more thing:

I'd like to show the little icons in ToDo and Events, but NOT in the calendar.

Is this even possible ??

thanks

You can create a background for your calendar by adding an image element as the first item of the <window> in calendar.xml. Something like this:

Code:

<image id="Calendar.background" element="bitmap.background.calendar" origin1="TOP-LEFT" x1="0" y1="0" origin2="BOTTOM-RIGHT" x2="0" y2="0" scaling="STRETCH" margins="0,0,0,0" />

(remember to define the bitmap.background.calendar in elements.xml)

The icons can be removed from the calendar if you remove the appearances from the elements.xml which have target="1". Do this only for the icons or otherwise you'll lose also the colors from the numbers.
