TOPIC: "Monitor Changes" not working?

"Monitor Changes" not working? 4 Years, 6 Months ago
I have set the "Monitor Changes" option (Options/Calendars) to "yes" but it doesn't seem to work for me.
I have two computers both of them have Rainlendar running.
I use Dropload so I can always have the latest version of default.ics file.
In order to accomplish this I need to refresh.
I thought "Monitor Changes" could save me the need to refresh.
Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Oded.

The events are reloaded automatically only if the size of the file changes. Note also that if you are using Windows the ics file must be located on your local hard drive. This is due to the limitations of the operating system.

Good morning,
Expecting new version who wait for the date of the .ics file (and not the size !) is changing to refresh, i disable the "automatic start" and replace it by launching a vbs script in the key "run" of the registry.
This script launch "Rainlendar2" and after it refresh it if the date of the .ics file as been changed by the other computer.

The Rainlendar2.vbs file :

Dim fso, objFSO, objFile, t_default, bip, prog, para
Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Set objFile = objFSO.GetFile("C:\Path\of\the\file.ics")
Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
prog = "C:\Program Files\Rainlendar2\rainlendar2.exe"
para = "-e " & Chr(34) & "Hotkey_Refresh()" & Chr(34)
t_default = objFile.DateLastModified
WScript.Sleep 60000 ' Initial waiting time
WshShell.Run Chr(34)& prog & Chr(34)
Do
WScript.Sleep 20000 'Test the date changing every 20 seconds
If objFile.DateLastModified <> t_default Then
WshShell.Run Chr(34)& prog & Chr(34) & " " & para
t_default = objFile.DateLastModified
End If
Loop

I hope it will help you.

"Monitor changes" is marked.
The file size changed.
The ics file is located on my local hard drive.
Yet automatic refresh doesn't work and I have to do it manually
(I have assigned the "win + z" hotkey to the "refresh" function. Could that be the problem?)
