I just setup 2 google calendars and synced them with rainlendar. Works fine. Now I want to see the events from the 2 calendars in 2 different colors, like it is displayed for example in the google calendar.

What I did: I added 2 categories. 1 for each calendar. Then I selected this categroies in the calendar settings as visible category.

So where can I tell the calendar to display this category in another color?
Must I use a skin that supports that or can I setup that somewhere else in rainlendar?
If a special skin is necessary, what skins do that or how can I change a skin to do so?

(In Windows, and using the latest beta, but also works in v2.8): If you right click on window -> options -> calendars ->

"Google Calendar 1" (or the name you set) -> below in options click on visual category -> e.g. "[Red]"
"Google Calendar 2" (or the name you set) -> below in options click on visual category -> e.g. "[Green]"

Then, each event from "Google Calendar 1" will be set as [Red] and each event from "Google Calendar 2" will be set as [Green]. Again, in right click -> Options -> Advanced, you have to click on "Visual category overwrites" and select "Always".

I tried that, but ist doesn't work.
"[Red]" does not do anything.

When I select a category from the list of categrories, all events of this calendar are displayed with the icon and the color of the selected category in the week view.
In the eventlist, the events of the different calendars are displayed in different colors, if I choose the right categories for the calendar (had to try some categories to find out which one has a nice color).
So far it looks fine, but I did not find a way to setup the color for each category, as I like it.

Where are the colors configured for the categories?

You can change the color of the categories from:
Right click -> options -> skins -> categories... -> Then in values change:

"Calendar day color": this is the color on the calendar window.
"Text color": this is the color on the event list window.

I allready tried this, but when I change something there, the week view and the month view doesn't show color bars beside the events any more.
The font is displayed in the right color though.
