Apparently I'm not the only one. While I don't lose my local Rainlendar settings, I occasionally my network .ics file and since I only use Rainlendar to access that file.

I ended up using curl to backup my calendar once an hour.

Automatic backups of local files will be in b34. The network calendar files can be already backed up every time you make modifications to them.

It happened again today: The PC crashed and, on restart, rainlendar was all empty, complaining about being unable to write c:\rainlendar.log

The config files in documents_and_settings were still there, but I had to copy them in the installation directory to have them "seen" by rainlendar - just as if I had a portable install!

I'd like to come back to the previous mode, because my backup tool searches in documents_and_settings.

How could I do that ?

Tanks for your help!

Post edited by: malbec, at: 2007/02/27 03:08

Rainlendar tries to load the config file from the installation folder first and if it's not there it uses the documents and settings folder instead. So, moving the rainlendar2.ini file to the C:/Documents and Settings/<yourname>/.rainlendar2 folder should work. If it doesn't check the log for possible errors.
