TOPIC: Add multiple categories to task
#15780
Add multiple categories to task 3 Years, 1 Month ago
Before upgrading to 2,9 I could add more than one category to a task, but I've just upgrading and now I can add only one. How can I use the former feature?

I could solve the problem.

Enable Options->Advanced->Allow multiple categories.

Can you make it possible to have the drop down list for category selection available while at the same time using multiple categories? For example by adding the category to the current filled in category if a category in the drop down list is selected?
This would enable to have multiple categories as well as to see which categories are predefined (and the visual representation of them) during setting.
Thanks for considering!

The drop down control does not support multiple selection so there is no easy way to do it. I would have to create a completely new control for this purpose. I'll add it to my backlog but it's most likely not going to be implemented any time soon.

You could do a "Workaround" as RUBn? stated. When something is selected in the Dropdown list, add it to the categories. If it's selected again, delete it. This would keep you from creating a new control, but it's not very user friendly.
