Hi,

Today I restarted my computer and when Rainlendar loaded all of my events were gone and the programs had gone back to its default settings.

I have tried loading an auto-saved backup (Manager > File > Restore), however none of the backups are changing anything when loaded.

I have also tired importing the ini file from one of the zipped backups (Manger > File > Import), however when I try to load the ini file I get an "Import Failed" error.

Does anyone know why this happened? Rainlendar has survived countless computer crashes in the past, and in this case the computer didn't even crash, I just reset it from within windows.

Any ideas as to how I can get my data back? I had over 2 years of saved events (I like keeping track of when I have done work).

Running Windows Vista 64 bit.

The events and tasks are stored to the Default.ics file so you should try to import that from the backup archive. The ini files contain Rainlendar's settings.

That fixed it. Any idea what would have caused the problem in the first place?

Not really. A file can get corrupted if you e.g. power down the computer while it is being written but losing both the settings and the events files this way is highly unlikely.
