Google Sync for Noobs 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Hi....as the Heading states I'm a noob wishing to sync rainlendar with google calendar "both ways" I don't get much in terms of searching the forums and when googling I get a tonne of mind bending work arounds. If I had more time (I run a health store, a website and work another job) I'd try to stay up long enough to try more searching, but the little time I have to relax is giving me a head ache trying to find out how to do it. Please help me with a solution. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum, siegex.

To sync with Google Calendar you need the Pro version of Rainlendar (also, if you paid the license for Pro you can hide the "[UNREGISTERED]" from the events).
Using the Pro version all you need to do is:
right click -> options... -> calendars -> add... -> Google Calendar -> write your email and password -> select the calendar and the task list -> set a name for this calendar.

Now comes some tips:
- If you want to keep an offline copy, mark the check box.
- If there are errors when syncing, mark the supress error check box.
- If you want only a part of the entire calendar, select your import limit.
- Change the poll frequency if you want to keep your local calendar copy always up-to-date.

If you want to use the categories, you will need to:
- Create several calendars, one for each category
- Then, for each calendar select a "visual category" (e.g. birthday, game, calls, ...). In this way, all the events of each calendar will have an icon describing its category.

This is how to begin using Google Calendar.

Thanks for the reply....I appreciate it. All though I was afraid the most important part was over looked and that part was I wish to know how to sync the Google Calendar and Rainlendar "Both Ways"

A. I know how to sync Google Calendar to Rainlendar

B. My biggest issue is syncing Rainlendar to Google Calendar

Sorry if I wasn't too clear the 1st time

To reiterate I want the syncing process done both ways, not just a one way sync. I bought this product under the impression through threads on this forum and Google searches that this program was more than capable of a 2 way sync.

Thanks

Oh, my mistake.

If you haven't set the calendar as Read Only, then, every change you made to your local copy of the calendar (event/task added/modified/removed) is updated automatically to the Google Calendar. Simply like that.

You can use the instructions of my first message.
Also, you can see THIS SITE, which isn't up-to-date, but have a more-or-less visual walkthrough of the options.

I don't use myself Google Calendar. For more specific questions you will need another user experience.
