TOPIC: Changing the 'date' separators in the ToDo list
#18010
Changing the 'date' separators in the ToDo list 2 Years, 3 Months ago
I've been using your program for several years -- I truly love it.

But I just had to replace my computer and dl a newer version. Now the task list heads the groupings of tasks (when sorted by date) with phrases like "Friday next week" or "Saturday in five weeks" when it used to simply display the relevant date like "October 13".

Is there a way to change this back to the previous method?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, SusanBeth.
I think your mean is: you want to display simple date like "October 13", right? You can go: Options... > Advanced > find the "Task List" segment and "Task list header format" option, then set its value as "%B %d".

p.s:
%B = Full month name
%d = Day of month as decimal number (01 - 31)

Thank you! That was exactly what I wanted to know, and it works perfectly.

Um -- is there something to add for it to show the year, too? Since I use Rainlendar to remind of those chores I only need to do annually or semi-annually, and also way off stuff like renewing my notary license every seven years....

Thanks again!

For a complete list of the time format you can check in the Help -> User Guide -> Date formats.

For adding the year you could use: "%B %d, %Y"

In the Help section it says
%y Year without century, as decimal number (00 - 99)
%Y Year with century, as decimal number

Thank you both!

I hadn't realized these were a standard code, sorry to take up your time.
