CalDAV + Baikal server 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Hi, I've been trying to connect Rainlendar on my home server running Baikal (baikal.codr.fr) which is PHP/SQL based.

I get "unable to authenticate to the server" when I enter the following url:

localhost:8080/baikal/cal.php/calendars/username/default
username
password

Thunderbird Lightning add-on seems to be working fine along with SOGO connector for both CalDAV & CardDAV.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had not heard of Baikal server before. I'll try it and see what causes the problem.

Hello,

I have the same problem.

rainlendar release 2.11 b128 on windows 7 64 bits,
baikal 0.24 on debian 6.0.2 / apache 2.2.16 / mysql 5.1.66 / php 5.3.3

I saw that beta 2.11 b125 might be ok with baikal.

I tried it with Baikal 0.2.2 and Rainlendar can read and write the events with the CalDAV calendar. If you send me the Rainlendar's debug log I can try to check where things go wrong. You can send the log to Rainlendar's support address and add a link to this thread in the email.

Hi,

I have setup a Baikal-calendar on my NAS now and have a similar problem than the guys above.

I am able to connect to my Baikal-calendars in eM Client and via my Android phone using "CalDAV Sync Beta". No problems so far.

But with rainlendar I am not able to properly connect to the Baikal-server. In eM Client both of these ways work:

- HOSTNAME/baikal/cal.php/calendars/USERNAME/CALENDAR_NAME/
- HOSTNAME/baikal/cal.php/principals/USERNAME/

With the first I can directly connect to one of my calendars, specifying the name of it. With the second version eM Client shows all calendars for USERNAME in a tree-view.

For Rainlendar the second version should be fine, cause it asks me to choose one calendar, right? If I click on "Choose calendar", however, it says "Verbindung zum Server fehlgeschlagen" (German for: Failed to connect to server").

What can I do?

My versions:
Rainlendar: Rainlendar Pro BETA - Version 2.12 (b133) 64 bit
Baikal: baikal-flat 0.2.6

Thanks for your help!

Can you send me the debug log for both urls? You can send the log to the Rainlendar's support address. Please include also a link to this thread in the email so I know what the logs are for.
