TOPIC: Installing in Linux

Installing in Linux 1 Year, 9 Months ago
Hi. I am a great fan of Rainlendar having used it on a Win7 machine, but Win7 went belly up so I have now installed PClinuxOS (KDE). I am completely new to Linux and would like some simple instructions () as to how to get the Rainlender .exe file installed. As RL is platform independent I thought you might have a download specifically for Linux users, but hey ho it's a steep learning curve I'm on!

Linux dont use .exe-files at all, so you must download Rainlendar-file for Linux-distribution.

Debian/Ubuntu-version works also in Mint.
Use Gdebi-installer. If you dont have Gdebi, you can install it in terminal; sudo apt-get install gdebi
Right click on file, and gdebi install Rainlendar.
Make automatic startup on desktop for Rainlendar in startup menu of your distribution:
File system > usr > bin > Rainlendar2.
This works for Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Mint. In Xubuntu I have small error:

Others dont know.
