TOPIC: Default Event Length
#18477
Re:Default Event Length 2 Years ago
The dialog can be closed with ctrl+enter.

The default duration is set to one hour if the created event is not set to all day (you can create such events from the day and week views).

You could create a template which unchecks the "All day event" checkbox and set it as the default template which should create timed events also if you double click a date on the calendar. However this doesn't set the end time correctly at the moment so I'll have to fix it in the coming versions.

Thanks for your answer, and for letting me know about ctrl+enter for closing dialogues.

With regard to the one-hour default time length, it does work when double-clicking on day or week views. However, it doesn't work when right-clicking and then choosing "New Event" or "New Task". It also doesn't work at all in the calendar or sidebar views. It would be nice if coming versions could extend this capability to right-clicking and to the calendar/sidebar views. Thanks again.
