TOPIC: Hiding Rainlendar Dock Icon

Re:Hiding Rainlendar Dock Icon 7 Months ago
Since I'm the person who started this thread, I thought that I'd reply. Like you, I came to the Mac from Windows and the Rainlendar icon initially drove me crazy. In time, and after using a Mac for a while, I think you'll change your mind; but I absolutely understand where you are coming from. The best thing is to experiment a bit and find what suits you best.

The "LSUIElement" value should be the last one in your info.plist file. It's there; you don't have to create it. What app are you using to edit your .plist file (that might explain why you can't find it)? Apple's Xcode is the best, but UltraEdit also works fine.

Hi Alexxx,

thank you for your quick reply. And it works now. Your hint with the app was the right one. I opened it with xcode and found the entry "Application is Agent (UIElement)" and set it to true.

Thank you for your help. Now my Mac looks like a ... Mac again... plain.

(Is there a button here to mark this thread as "solved"?)

Good that you managed to figure it out. Please note that, if you remove the dock icon, you lose access to the main menu. In any case, the important thing is that your configuration works for you. You can always change it back if you want.

Did not find LSUIElement in Info.plist file as well as ShowDock icon in ini file. Is it possible to modify the program to include the option to hide/show dock icon in calendar's settings? Otherwise please once again explain how to to hide it which will be applicable for the latest release.
Thanks in advance.
