Im new to Rainlendar and have been using it on Ubuntu, for the first couple of weeks its been great and I was impressed however just lately after I launch it from dash it appears momentarily then dissapears? can anyone tell me how to fix this. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that does not work.

Can you proved the debugger backtrace? You can find instructions how to do that from here: www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=42&func=view&catid=4&id=3102

this is what i got... does this help?
I couldn't find rainlendar's own log, because it doesn't exist. I'm not even sure whether this is even a crash... it seems like it simply closes

It crashes when the alarm sound is being played. Have you changed the audio file for the alarm? You can reset all setting if you keep shift and control keys down when Rainlendar starts. That should fix the problem.

I had changed the alarm sound, and reset the settings as you instructed. however, this still hasn't solved the problem... the program still closes when opened.

In that case you probably have defined the audio file for one specific event instead changed the default alarm. Try renaming the audio file so that Rainlendar cannot find it anymore. You can then remove it from the event once you get Rainlendar to start.
