Todo list lost after moving from Ubuntu to Mint 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Hello,

I'm using Rainlendar since at couple of years.
My main desktop was a Linux Ubuntu (12.04, using Gnome classic), and there I had RL showing calendar month, events and todo list.
The todo list is shared via my google account.
Rainlendar starts automatically when I log in my session.

Since I reinstalled my workstation with Linux Mint (Nadia) with Cinnamon , even though my homedir was unchanged (and so no changes also to the ~/.config/.rainlendar2 directory), while I can still see calendar and events, I almost never see any task in the todo list.
Very rarely (I guess when the moon is at the right angle ) the todo list magically re-appears, but at the next reboot is gone again.

Looking at the debug log, RL seems to be able to read the google calendar events.

Any hint on what should I check to get the TODO list back (and every single time)?

Thanks

Do you have the "Hide list windows if there are no items" setting enabled. If yes, try disabling it so that you can see the todo window even if it's empty. You can also try to create tasks to your local calendar and see if they work.

Thanks.
'Hist list windows' option is not set (besides, I was anyway able to see the empty TODO: header)
Creating a task to local calendar works.

Actually, I noticed that when creating a new event I have the choice to use 'Default' or 'gcalendar' calendar, but not for new tasks, there the choice is only 'Default'.
Do I need to enable something somewhere?

You need to define the name of the Google task list that is shown in Rainlendar. If you use the version 2.11.1 you can do that from Options->Calendars (it's the "Task list name" setting).

I did not find that option among my gcalendar settings, so I went to test the creation of a new google calendar, and there I saw that there a 'Google Calendar' and a 'Google Tasks' type of calendar. I added the latter and now things are working again.

I must have lost that calendar at some point while re-checking my settings after the Mint migration.

Anyway case can be closed
Thank you for your propmt support!
