HotKeys 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Hi,

At the moment I use HotKeys to hide & show windows

I.E. WIN + Delete to Hide Windows & WIN + Insert to Show Windows.

I am currently writting a RainMeter Skin and would like to be able to put a button on my desktop to do this for me. Is there a command line option I can execute from RainMeter to allow me to do this

I.E Something like this 'RainLender /Show' or 'RainLender /Hide'

Or is there some other way or no way of doing this

Many Thanks

Grant

If I understand you, the command line you're looking for is:

rainlendar2.exe -e/--execute Hotkey_Hide_Windows/Hotkey_Show_Windows

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, by the looks of your answer you do understand what I'm trying to do, but it doesn't seem to be working. Below is the code I am using the first line works its the code to launch/run Rainlendar the second & Third is the show & hide

This works

LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute ["C:\Program Files (x86)\Rainlendar2\rainlendar2.exe"]

This doesn't

LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute ["C:\Program Files (x86)\Rainlendar2\rainlendar2.exe -e/--execute Hotkey_Show_Windows"]

LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute ["C:\Program Files (x86)\Rainlendar2\rainlendar2.exe -e/--execute Hotkey_Hide_Windows"]

Any ideas?

Is there a list of command line options anywhere that I could look at?

use -e or --execute, not both at the same time. (see superuser.com/a/372261)
The command line options are in the Help File -> User Guide -> Options -> Command Line Arguments (the last section)

Jorge_Luis, thanks again for your reply. I am begining to feel stupid here as again nothing works. I am running Rainlender Pro 2.11 on Windows 7 if that makes any differance.

This is the line from RainMeter I am trying to run

LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute ["C:\Program Files (x86)\Rainlendar2\rainlendar2.exe -e Hotkey_Hide_Windows"]

LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute ["C:\Program Files (x86)\Rainlendar2\rainlendar2.exe -e Hotkey_Show_Windows"]

Do I need to create a LUA script called Hotkey_Show_Windows & Hotkey_Hide_Windows ?
If so I have no experience with LUA so no idea how to do this.

Thanks Grant

The functions are already created. They come with Rainlendar2.
After trying it by myself, first I think that the -e option wasn't working. Then, after going back until build 70... I "see" what I've been missing.

SOLUTION. You need to use:
LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute ["C:\Program Files (x86)\Rainlendar2\rainlendar2.exe -e Hotkey_Hide_Windows()"] <--- add the parenthesis after the function name
