Caldav synchronizing error when modifying events 1 Year ago
Hi everyone!

I have configured my own caldav server and it works perfectly with several different clients. But I founf that with Rainlendar I'm not able to modify existing events. I can create tasks and events, but at the time of modifying (even if they where create with Rainlendar) I get the following message:

Error uploading the data to the url:

[url]

Server returned result: (0) 412

Precondition failed

I tried upgrading to the lastest version (2.12 b132 - 64bits) resulting with the same error. My system is running Debian Sid.

Does anyone has suffered the same issue or knows how to solve it?.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

What is the CalDAV server that you are using? Can you send the Rainlendar's debug log when you try to edit an event? You can send the log to Rainlendar's support address (please include also a link to this forum thread).

Hi Rainy,

First of all, thanks a lot for your quick response.

The caldav server that I'm using is Davical 0.9.9.3-0 on a Debian 6.0 server.

The log file shows exactly the same message as the one I've posted at the beginning of this thread.

Thanks a lot for you help!

Hi everyone. I'm also unable to modify existing events and tasks. the server i am using is Zimbra. When i perform an modifying action Railendar shows me an error box saying:
Error uploading the data to the url:
myserver.xxx.xx/dav/...../xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.ics
Server returned result: (0) 409 Conflict.

This has been happen since to me since 2.10 version. i quoted this here because i think issues are related. If somebody knows how to solve, please help me. Thank you very much.

I tried this with Zimbra's test server and it seems that it requires that the etag identifier is used when editing the events. I'll modify Rainlendar so that it will send the proper headers to the server. This might also fix the OP's problem but I haven't had time to set up the davical server to know for sure.
