storage location for daily automatic backup 1 Year ago
Hi,

I would like to change the storage location of the daily automatic backup to another drive. Now it's on C:\Users\Username\.rainlendar2\backups. But if the system crashes totally these backups are lost!
I also would like to have the backups on an other drive, because I installed Windows on a SSD. Constantly writing and deleting files is not so good for a SSD. I would prefer to have these daily backups on my HDD. How can I change the storage Location?

Thank you
Catnel

You can use the "--backup" command line argument to set the backup folder.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your answer. But where do I have to enter this command line Argument? In cmd.exe (Windows 7)?

Thank you

You can e.g. edit the shortcut's properties and add the parameter to there.

Note that you need to start Rainlendar from the shortcut so that the correct command line argument is used. If you want to start Rainlendar automatically on startup you can move the shortcut to the Windows' Startup folder (C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup).
