events in read-only 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
hi, sorry for my English, i'm french
i have a problem with events in read-only
my version : 2.12.1 b137

i added Outlook calendar in rainlendar, my events from Outlook (birthday) are in read-only

i wanted to add alarm on these events but with the read-only i can't

then i tried to copy an event in the default calendar to try if in default the read-only goes away, but now i have 2 similar event (one in Outlook and one in default) the two are in read-only and i can't delete the one i copied

i hope my explanations are clear enough and thank you for your answers

Are the events real appointments in Outlook or are you using the "Read birthdays from contacts" feature?

Rainlendar sets recurring Outlook events read-only if they have changes in one or more instance. This is because Rainlendar does not currently support editing single instance of a recurring events so your changes would be lost. If you want to edit such events (e.g. add the alarm) you need to do that in Outlook.

If you use the "Read birthdays from contacts" feature then there are no real events at all since Rainlendar is dynamically creating them when it reads the information from Outlook. In this case you can set the "Default alarm" for the calendar but note that it will affect all the other events in the same calendar too.
