TOPIC: Starting Rainlendar by clicking the ics file
#21245
Starting Rainlendar by clicking the ics file 3 Months ago
This is a newbie question. I have XP OS. I use Rainlendar-Lite 2.12.2.

I created a calendar and stored that as ics file. I changed the OS settings that I could open the .ics files with Rainlendar. When I click the .ics file, I get the message:"Unexpected parameter". When I click ok, then it lists all the command screen parameters.

I would like to start Rainlendar by clicking the .ics file. Could you please tell me, how to do that?

Thanks.

By default Rainlendar doesn't know what it should do with the ics file that is given as argument. You would have to define the opening command in the Windows Registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Applications\Rainlendar2.exe\shell\open\command). If you e.g. want Rainlendar to import the events in the clicked file change the open command from:

"C:\Program Files\Rainlendar2\Rainlendar2.exe" "%1"

to

"C:\Program Files\Rainlendar2\Rainlendar2.exe" -i "%1"
