I'm trying out the new version (V2.1 build 33) and noticed this in the notes: "It's now possible to use some wiki-style formatting in the texts. See the help for details."

Where is this information? I've looked in the help file and can't find it. Is there another 'help' I should be looking at - on the website for example?

The details are still missing from the help but I'll try to remember to add them to the next build.

What currently should work are bullet lists:

* Task1
* Task2
** SubTask1
* Task3

Numbered lists:

# Task1
# Task2
## SubTask1
# Task3

Indentation:

> Task1
> Task2
>> SubTask1
> Task3

And you can also use \n as a line separator (this works also in the headers).

Thanks. I copied and pasted your examples into an entry and see the following effect:

When the appears as a tooltip, the lists appear as bullet points and numbered lists as you describe.

When I open the entry, the lists appear as in your reply i.e. with asterisks and hash signs

Is this correct?

If so, it's note what I really wanted when I originbally asked for text formatting. What I wanted were buttons in the open entry window like a word processor so I could select a list of words, hit the 'Bullet' button and bullet points would appear next to each word as per in 'Word'. And much the same for numbered lists and indents. Also, if I select words with bullets or numbers and press the relevant button 'off' the formatting is removed (again, as per a word processor).

Is this possible?

Well, it's not impossible since there are wysiwyg wiki editors available too but considering how much work it would require it's not likely to be included in Rainlendar any time soon.
