TOPIC: Help editing to do list

Help editing to do list 7 Years ago
I'm using 2.1 build 38, and suddenly I can't edit a task on my to-do list. I want to mark it completed, so it will go away, but when I try to edit it, only the "cancel" button is usable--the "okay" button stays shaded and won't work. I can delete the task entirely, but then when I refresh the calendar, the task reappears, still glaring at me in red as a reminder to finish it! How can I fix this?

Thanks.

If the OK button is disabled it means that you haven't selected any calendar where the modification could be stored.

Okay, now I'm confused. Why can't I just click on the task and edit it? Where do I select a calendar? (Btw, I never had this problem before, which is probably why I'm so confused.)

If the task comes from a read only calendar (e.g. Outlook) you need to select another calendar which can store the changes. The calendar can be changed from the "Calendars" button in the dialog.

When I click the "Calendars" button, I get an empty box with no choices. Also, I don't keep another to do list in another calendar (only events)--all my tasks were entered originally into Rainlendar.

Make sure that the calendar isn't set as "Read only" in Options->Calendars.
