I've tried installing several skins. None of them work. Here's an excerpt from ~/.config/.rainlendar/rainlendar.log:

21:13:13: [0:00:14.550] Reading skin /home/georger/rainlendar2/skins/Vista1-0.r2skin
21:13:13: [0:00:14.551] ERROR: Unable to open skin.xml from file: /home/georger/rainlendar2/skins/Vista1-0.r2skin
21:13:13: [0:00:14.551] WARNING: Loading the skin Vista1-0 failed.
21:13:13: [0:00:14.551] Reading skin /home/georger/rainlendar2/skins/IceAngelforRainlendar1-0.r2skin
21:13:13: [0:00:14.553] ERROR: Unable to open skin.xml from file: /home/georger/rainlendar2/skins/IceAngelforRainlendar1-0.r2skin
21:13:13: [0:00:14.553] WARNING: Loading the skin IceAngelforRainlendar1-0 failed.
21:13:13: [0:00:14.553] Reading skin /home/georger/rainlendar2/skins/Lucid1-2.r2skin
21:13:13: [0:00:14.556] ERROR: Unable to open skin.xml from file: /home/georger/rainlendar2/skins/Lucid1-2.r2skin
21:13:13: [0:00:14.556] WARNING: Loading the skin Lucid1-2 failed.

I unzip'd all three skins and indeed none of them have a skin.xml. I looked at the one in Shadow4 and it's obviously specific to that skin.

BTW, why do all of the skins on Customize.org have a .zip extension instead of a .r2skin extension?

Rainlendar 2 uses a new skinning format. The older skins were edited with ini files, R2 uses xml. If your going to use the old skins you must unzip(might be able to leave it as a zip) the skin in there own folder under rainlendar2/skins/. If you take the old skin and change the .zip to .r2skin it thinks it is an r2 skin and looks for the skin.xml file.<br><br>Post edited by: he_the_great, at: 2006/11/04 02:24
