When I upgraded Rainlendar to version 2, I wanted to install it in the same folder C:/Program Files/Rainlendar as the original. I mistakenly figured it would overwrite and update. I was only half right.
The previous data was retained. However, the executable filename is different; hence my Rainlendar folder contained both:
Rainlendar.exe 116k 1/21/2006
Rainlendar2.exe 959k 10/28/2006
Although it booted up and worked fine, on startup I got an error dialog saying "Rainlendar.exe has a problem and must shut down. Do you want to tell Microsoft?"
Well, Rainlendar (2) doesn't shut down. It was just trying to load BOTH executables. I deleted the older (116 K) file, rebooted, and everything appears to be fine. Now the only file left over from 1/21/2006 is a .dll and I think I'll leave that alone!
