Skin installation problem 7 Years, 4 Months ago
I understand that many have asked this question but i seriously don't understand how to go about installing new skins.

I downloaded a skin file in .zip and extracted the file to C:\Program Files\Rainlendar2\skins .

The folder name of the extracted .zip item to "C:\Program Files\Rainlendar2\skins" is "Lorenzo".
Within the file "Lorenzo" i have a number of picture items in .png format and a black.ini item.

Right now i'm having troubles understanding what i should do next to install my new skin.

I have no idea what happened...despite having to uninstall and install rainlender earlier...i was not able to load the skin, but it seems to be working.

However, can someone please explain how i can import the skin files to rainlender...? I still do not really unstand how to load new skins.
Thanks

Well, you extract the skin from the zip archive into Rainlendar's skins folder, restart Rainlendar and choose the skin from the Options. As far as I can tell that is exactly what you have done.

Explanation must be more detailed for beginners, IMHO:
1.Download new skin on your desktop (extention must be only .r2skin).
2.Doubleclick your skin file. Rainlendar confirms skin installation.
3.Refresh Rainlendar window (right click > Refresh).
4.Right click > Options > Skins > Advanced > highlight new skin in the left list. Press arrow -->, OK.

Post edited by: Alexander, at: 2007/05/20 04:55

If all skins would use the new format there wouldn't be any problems. But since most of them are for the old version and the files are packed with different archivers and with different folder structures it's not possible to write detailed instructions for the installation.
