TOPIC: Changing the default alarm time
#3874
Changing the default alarm time 7 Years, 5 Months ago
Hi

In version 2.1 I was able to change the default alarm time, when adding a new event, from 15 minutes to another value. This was done by changes suggested here:

The default value is defined in the resource file (resources/event.xrs). If you want to change it you can unzip the file and edit the text control with name=1009 to use some other value. Note that the resources get overwritten when you upgrade to a new version.

Now that I've updated to version 2.2, making those changes cause Rainlendar to crash.
Can you help?

Thanks for the great program and the great support!

I'm not able to reproduce the problem. Can you attach the resource file which causes the crash.

Sorry, I see I can only send it zipped. Here's my 2nd try:

File Attachment:
File Name: event-b44e8a21305aedcbea35882547538165.zip
File Size: 2315

Thank you

I tried the file but Rainlendar didn't crash. The default alarm for the events show 3 hours.

Can you send me (rainy@iki.fi) the crash log?

Thank you for all your help, Rainy!

Strangely enough, I can't reproduce the crash now, either.

The only thing I've done since the crashes, that might have had an effect on them, was cleaning and defragmenting the Windows registry.

The error I was getting then was:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Date: 24/7/2007
Time: 1:04:08 PM
