Not compatible with Vista?? 10 Years, 2 Months ago
I just bought a new computer with Vista Home Premium, and since Rainlendar is a must have for me - I simply canīt make my planning work without it - I would hate to loose it.
Unfortunately I canīt make it run in Vista. I get the following message:
This program could not start, because MSVCP71.dll wasnīt found. Problem might be solved by reinstalling the program.
I allready tried reinstalling, but it didnīt work .

Please help me out here! Is Rainlendar not compatible with Vista?

I'm running it with Vista Premium and do not have any problems. What version of Rainlender are you using ?

I am running the newest version of Rainlendar.

I downloaded the dll files from the links in the FAQ, and I can now start Rainlendar. BUT I cannot say I am completely satisfied with the compatibility!! Unfortunatly
In XP I used the "on desktop" possibility, and I loved it. But it is not working! Why is that?

You have to ask Microsoft about that. You might get the "On desktop" to work if you disable the Aero desktop in Vista or the native transparency in Rainlendar.

Anyway, since Microsoft doesn't provide (as far as I know) any way to implement the "On desktop" feature properly it's not likely that the problem will get fixed ever in Vista.
