Rainlendar v2.0.1: How to upgrade? 7 Years, 9 Months ago
Hey there,

I just received the info about version 2.0.1, and the changelog looks quite promising!

However, I'm not exactly sure how to upgrade without losing any of my settings.
Sure, the tasks and events are saved in separate files, so they shouldn't be at risk. But what about the program settings, and I also edited the Shadow4.r2skin - I'd hate having to re-modify those files after each upgrade...

I just downloaded and installed the latest version and no entries were deleted. However, the priorities of my 'ToDo' items were jumbled up but that wasn't a big deal as I only had a few.

I also can't vouch for the skin settings except to say I didn't notice any changes.

The Shadow4 skin gets overwritten when you upgrade so you should make a copy of it if you make changes. The installer doesn't touch the settings or the ics-files but it's better to be safe than sorry so I suggest that you do a backup before you upgrade.

Sorry for the late response.
I finally got around updating RL to v2.0.1, and it all seems to work fine - thanks for the heads-up, Rainy!
