ics calendars with 1 hour offset 4 Years, 5 Months ago
I'm sharing a few ics calendar files between sunbird and rainlendar beta, 2.7b90 on OS X. I create my events in Sunbird but they show up on Rainlendar with incorrect time (1 hour ahead).

Could be some kind of bug, maybe time zone related? (I'm from Portugal btw)

Are the time zone settings the same in your operating system and in Sunbird? Rainlendar doesn't have any special handling for time zones so it will always assume that the time in the events is in your local time (or in UTC).

Yes I have the correct time zones selected (Lisbon, Portugal btw). Sunbird and iCal.app displays events in the correct time. Rainlander does not.

Maybe a sample of my ics file would help:

Code:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
PRODID:-//Apple Inc.//iCal 4.0.3//EN
X-WR-TIMEZONE:Europe/Lisbon
VERSION:2.0
X-APPLE-CALENDAR-COLOR:#0252D4
X-WR-CALNAME:pessoal
METHOD:PUBLISH
CALSCALE:GREGORIAN
BEGIN:VTIMEZONE
TZID:Europe/London
BEGIN:DAYLIGHT

TZNAME:GMT+01:00
TZOFFSETTO:+0100
RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=3;BYDAY=-1SU

END:DAYLIGHT

Can you attach a sample from a full event (from BEGIN:VEVENT to END:VEVENT). Also tell what the times are in Rainlendar and in Sunbird.

Here's the sample with the uid removed. For some odd reason the DTEND;TZID, DTSTART;TZID have Europe/London, but as far as I know Lisbon and London are in the same time zone.

Code:

BEGIN:VEVENT
UID:
DTSTAMP:20100614T003036Z
TRANSP:OPAQUE
CREATED:20100614T002956Z
SUMMARY:Exame Nacional Fi├┼sica e Qui├┼mica A
SEQUENCE:0
DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20100715T140000
DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20100715T090000
END:VEVENT

Sunbird and iCal.app will display this event to start at 9h00. Raincalendar displays it to start at 8h00

I managed to reproduce the problem. Seems to happen only on Mac and with your time zone (or at least this does not happen with Finnish time zone). I'll check if there is something that can be done about this.
