"Hide windows if there are " no effect on day view 2 Years, 9 Months ago

Hi,
I'm running the 64-bit version of Rainlendar 2.8 Beta build 93 on Vista x64. Although I have the "Hide windows if there are no items" option checked, the (empty) day view window keeps being displayed although there a no events for the day.

True. Currently the setting applies only to the event and task lists. I'm not really sure if hiding also the schedule views is a wanted behavior so I'll probably just change the text in the options.

Hmm, why should it be a wanted behavior for the event and task windows, but not for the day view window? In what way is the day view windows semantically different from the other windows? Or, in other word, what purpose does an empty day view window serve? I'd really vote for making the option apply to the day view window, too, or to introduce an according option for schedule views.

The day view still shows information (day & time) even when it is empty and you can use it to look at the events on other days.
Personally I don't like this feature at all partly because hiding user interface elements depending on the application state is generally a bad idea and partly because it causes unnecessary support emails when people enable the feature and then send me email wondering why the windows are not visible anymore.
Anyway, if there is enough demand for this I can change it.
