TOPIC: Repetitive tasks popping up too early

Repetitive tasks popping up too early 4 Years, 2 Months ago
Hi,

I've been using Rainlendar for 2 years or so, and I think it's great.
I mostly use it to keep track every week of the airing dates of the american and english TV shows (I'm French).

Although, I have a pretty annoying problem. Some tasks show up the day before the day I chose.
And the strangest thing is that the first time the tasks showed up, it was fine, at the correct date, but the next week they showed up one day early.
Some tasks work just fine, some others don't. But I created them all in the exact same way.

I attach one of the task that shows up too early.

Before creating this topic, I of course searched the forum. I found one topic where someone seemed to have the same problem (or at least a similar problem).
And yes, I stole the name of the topic !

It has been replied that the problem was found and would be fixed in the next build. I am using the most recent version of Rainlendar (2.7).

The task doesn't have an alarm so do you mean that it will be shown in the task list a day before its due date? The task's start date is 23 hours before the due date which would explain this or is that deliberate? Can you give an example when the task was shown and when did you expected it to be?

Yes, the problem is that the task shows up in the "To Do" list a day before.

The task's starting time is deliberately earlier than the due time, but I actually could put the same time, it's not really important to me. But since both times are in the same day, the task has no reason to show up the day before.

So, here's an example.
I created the task I attached on the previous post last week.
The starting time for the task was last sunday at 00:30 and the due time was 23:30.
The task showed up like I wanted on sunday.

While creating the task, I asked for it to repeat every week (the sunday box is checked, and no other).
So it should have showed up tomorrow. But it showed up today.
And when I put the cursor over the task, it tells me that it starts Saturday 21 at 00:30 and the due time is Saturday 21 at 23:30, whereas it should respectively be Sunday 22 at 00:30 and Sunday 22 at 23:30.

I think I found the problem (or at least I found a problem). The next day for weekly recurring tasks was calculated from the start time instead from the due time which actually defines the recurrence pattern so if the two times were far apart the result might be on incorrect day. I'll fix that in the next build.
