TOPIC: Format codes AM/PM - Day View
#13207
Format codes AM/PM - Day View 4 Years, 1 Month ago
In the Rainlendar2 help (and in the Lua format table, but i don't know if this is important), the parameter to show AM/PM is %p, but if i try "%I:%M %p" it shows "04:30" and if i try "%I:%M %P" it shows "04:30 PM"

And related with this, in the Day View the default format is "%H:%M". If i change it...
    by "%#I %P", only see "2 P", "1 P", ... "0 P", "1 P"
    by "%I %P", i see the same.
    by "%I%P", i see "12 P", "01 P", "02 P" ...

So, i can only see "P" but not "PM"... and, more important, it only shows "P" not "A".
Changing the width doesn't do anything.

At least, is what i see.

The lowercase %p is the correct code (msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fe06s4ak(VS.71).aspx) but note that you need to have the "AM" and "PM" defined in the Window's Regional and Language settings and if you are using the Shadow4 skin the first letter also must be in uppercase (I'll fix that someday).

More signs of some kind of error (again this is for 2.8 b94)

* New user profile. All info erased.
* First image, in English (default with %p, and with +8 as timezone because my local time now is 7 PM). It looks ok. With %P also looks ok (why?)
* Second image, in Spanish. No AM/PM. Because the last Spanish localization was edited by me (from another user, not from scratch) maybe its my fault.
* Third and fourth image, in French. Well, i downloaded another language just to be sure. But it shows the same, and error with %P.

Maybe there is an error with the localizations.

My Windows time is 24 hs. with none AM/PM indicator, in all the images.

The %P always displays PM because of the 'P' letter in the string (%P is not a format code so it is shown as it is). The way things currently work is that for all 'A' letters in the time string the clock will show "AM" and for 'P' it shows "PM". So, if the %p gets translated to something else than AM or PM the clock shows nothing. Note that also the case of the letters matter.
