Black pixel on the desktop 3 Years, 5 Months ago
Hello everybody !

Since a few days, I've noticed a black pixel on my screen. I'm sure it comes from Rainlendar because when I quit the program, it disappears !!!
Here is a picture of my screen :

When I click on this pixel with the right button of my mouse, I have a little menu (in French because I'm French !) : I can for example open the IME editor (no idea what it is) : see picture below

I suppose this is a bug in the program .... (Maybe does anyone have the same strange thing)

Installed version : v2.9.b107 (latest beta)

That looks like a standard Windows edit menu. What skin windows do you have active?

I am under Windows 7, with the default skin.
If I click elsewhere in my desktop, the style is the same but the menu I spoke about is really strange (for its content) ...

I suppose (and Google confirm) that the enabled option "Coller" is paste in French.
Also, a Google search for IME takes me to Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Input_method_editor
So, it looks like that black pixel is a text box (a tiny one).

If you are sure that the black pixel is from Rainlendar, did you try reseting all the Rainlendar's settings? (make a backup first of the rainlendar2.ini file and delete it).

Yes it is exactly that !
After deleting the .ini file, the pixel isn't here anymore...
Thanks a lot for your help !

Re:Black pixel on the desktop 3 Years, 3 Months ago
I tracked it down to the QuickAdd widget. I selected each item on the right column one by one moving them to the left column(uninstalling the item). When I got to QuickAdd it disappeared. Since I don't use that widget, it doesn't show the full dialog box. If I show that window, a box appears and right-clicking shows the menu cbprimula showed in his post(mine is in in English).

I was beginning to think I had a dead pixel, but it was only dead on the desktop.

I now have only the five widgets I regularly use on the right column. Everything else has been moved to the left column. Problem solved. Maybe Rainy can track down why it leaves an artifact pixel behind, even though the window is not actively displayed.

Hope that helps,
Grouch
