how can i disable transparency ?
transparency don't works good on gnome/beryl/ubuntu 6.10 .. when having something over them.

It's not possible to disable the transparency completely but you can try to find some other skin which doesn't have transparent background.

Same thing in Mandriva (I suspect it's the X server, Google Earth has similar problems). One day I shall make a minimalist skin for power-users, meanwhile, let me know if someone else does ok

i've experienced the same issues with the current bulid (2.1 b38) of rainlendar when used with gnome running under xgl + beryl (distribution is ubuntu feisty beta).

since i've been in love with rainlendar for a long time now and can't afford to miss this nice tool i made some VERY simple skin based on an old skin called 'Mire'. i more or less changed everything so it might be hard to see any direct connection.
anyway, it runs fine on my desktop and one can read everything even when putting rainlendars opacity to 60 or 70 % (note: this is not a feature of rainlendar, its beryl!). so if anybody wants to use it... grab the attached file.
