TOPIC: Stored events/recurrances lost on boot-up

Stored events/recurrances lost on boot-up 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Love using Rainlendar2 on my XP os. I am using Shawdow4 skin. When cpu reboots from hybernation or sleep, ALL stored events that recur, vanish. Requiers re-entering all info again Otherwise this is a fantastic program. Any suggestions?

So, only the recurring events get lost but not the single events? And you don't see any errors on startup or when you create the events? If you just create e.g. a daily recurring event starting from today and store it to the local calendar (or where do you store it?) it's not there when you restart the application? Does this happen also if you just refresh the calendar?

When using my laptop, I end sessions by hybernating. When startup occurs, my recurring event that occurs every two weeks is missing..refreshing does nothing. Saturday and Sunday are highlighted to distingusih weekends, though.

>>>just now...Created a "Test" event that started on Wed,Aug 22nd, with a recurrance of "every two weeks" for 30 times. Hybernated laptop, restarted, and ALL events are missing. Refreshing page does nothing. Ideas?

Can you do this:

- Disable all your current calendars.
- Restart Rainlendar in the debug mode.
- Create a new local calendar
- Add a recurring event to it
- Hibernate your laptop
- Wake your laptop up and see if the event disappeared
- If it did, please send the debug log to the Rainlendar's support address and include a link to this forum thread.

Went into rainlendar2 file, but didn't see any "debug mode". Here's a screen shot:
Also log file is attached.

File Name: Rainlendar2.doc

Attached also is the MS Word doc showing 2 screenshots above (not sure if this forum's message webpage is working thru my understanding).

From your attached file, I think your setting have some mistake.
Please check: Option... >> Calendars >> Default >> Filename,
it must is C:\Documents and Settings\John\.rainlendar2\Default.ics,
instead of C:\Documents and Settings\John\.rainlendar2\rainlendar2.ini
