TOPIC: error messages inside ics file/mixed appointments

Re:error messages inside ics file/mixed appointments 1 Year ago
Hi,

on all 3 PCs are only the ics-files on the ftp server as calendar configured.

I'm not sure if all ftp-calendars had it's own offline file. At the moment all offline copies are deactivated. But I haven't manipulated the offline copies by my self. Only Rainlendar works with this files.

The only thing I have suspected is the hibernation mode. The laptops are working with "suspend to disc".

At the moment, without offline copies all is working fine. Now I will activate the offline copies file by file on one laptop. We will see what happens...

Thanks for your help!

Regards
Gert

Hi,

after a long time of testing I can say the mixed calendar files appears only with the activated function "Keep offline copy".

With this activated function sometimes Rainlendar crashes at start on my Notebook and if I check the calendars after this the files are corrupted.

Since months I'm testing this and the only problem I've found is the behaviour of Rainlendar with offline copies.

During the test I changed the App for synchronizing with Android. I'm syncing now with "Calendar Sync" and the problems are the same like with "ICSSync".

Has anyone an idea what happens? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is using the offline copies...

Many thanks in advance for some help!

Try the latest beta version. If you get the crash with it too please provide the crash dump file. You can find instructions how to do that from here: www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=42&func=view&catid=4&id=3102

Hi,

I have tested the beta. The problem: The calendars are corrupted but Rainlendar don't crashs.

I have installed the beta, than I have activated the "Keep offline copy" function in all calendars.

After this I started and closed Rainlendar and checked the calendars. After some starts I had new appointments with text from other appointments and appointments in two different calendar files. (one event and 2 calendars in the manager window)

Are you able to reproduce the problem? If you are can you do the following:

* Backup your settings (File->Backup in Manager)
* Go to Options and click the reset settings button.
* Restart Rainlendar in the debug mode (see: www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?option=com_easyfaq&Itemid=26#faq21)
* Create two completely new calendars
* Create the events and do what you need to do to make the error happen
* Send the log file and the calendar files to me (use the support email address and include a link to this post).

I can try to check from the log and the calendar files where things go wrong.

Hi,

the problem is not 100% reproducible. I have to test until the calendars are corrupted. I hope it happens also with new calendars.

I will test it like you described it. I will need a little bit time for this...

Best regards and have a nice weekend!
