Many thanks for the reply Rainy and for Rainlendar.

Will try the -m arguement but as soon as i have reinstalled Linux,i am changing to Gentoo !.

So meantime its back to Win98se and Rainlendar 0.22 which is very reliable.

Chris.

Hi there,
Solution for *ubuntu users:
1. If you haven't done so already you have to enable the usage of sudo without prompt for password:
Code:

EDITOR=gedit sudo visudo

Find this line
Code:

...
system_username ALL=(ALL) ALL
...

Replace with the following line
Code:

system_username ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

2. When you set rainlendar to launch on start-up the command should look like this:
Code:

sudo rainlendarfolder/rainlendar2

Hope this helps
Cheers:)

Good tip but I don't recommend running Rainlendar with admin privileges. It should work just fine with normal user rights too.

Hi,

Not sure if i would want to do that.As Rainy says that is starting Rainlendar as root (administrator).

Also note almost the entire OS will be at risk since all sudo commands in Ubuntu are legitimate and you have now dispensed with the password for them all.

Best Wishes Chris.
