Event List: Aging problem ("Monday next week") 7 Years, 2 Months ago
Something is wrong with the aging text in the Event List (e.g., when it says "Monday next week" or whatever). I have the Age from start of the week option set to false (I want the events aged from today). I have the number of days set to 14.

Today is Friday, September 14. I have an event on Monday, September 17 that is called "Monday" (bad based on following circumstances). I have an event on Friday, September 24 that the Event List ages as "Friday next week" (good). I have an event on Monday, September 24 that the Event List ages as "Monday next week" (bad).

Gripes:

  • "Monday next week" really means 9/17 because there is not another Monday this week. So, if you want to use the words "next week", they need to be applied to the dates in the range of 9/16 - 9/22.

  • "Monday next week" requires a date that comes BEFORE "Friday next week" because Monday always comes before Friday. This means that 9/24 cannot be "Monday next week" since 9/21 occurs before it and is called "Friday next week".

Here's one solution of how the days should be aged:
9/14 - Today
9/15 - Tomorrow
9/16 - Sunday or Sunday next week
9/17 - Monday or Monday next week
9/18 - Tuesday or Tuesday next week
9/19 - Wednesday or Wednesday next week
9/20 - Thursday or Thursday next week
9/21 - Friday or Friday next week
9/22 - Saturday or Saturday next week
9/24 - Two weeks Monday
9/25 - Two weeks Tuesday
9/26 - Two weeks Wednesday
9/27 - Two weeks Thursday
9/28 - Two weeks Friday
9/29 - Two weeks Saturday

Another option is to let users just show the date itself and the name of the day.

E.g., display it as "9/24 Monday"

I would like to see this option added regardless of the solution for aging.

Ok, I'll try to do something about the event list headers.

You can customize the headers from Options->Advanced->Header format (under "EventList").

Oops, sorry! I missed the Header Format option. That's just what I was talking about. Thanks.
