timezones 6 Years, 11 Months ago
running Version 2.2 (b53) Build on Dec 16 2007
on Windows XP SP2
happens on older versions as well

from the docs: You can define the timezone with the timezone code (CET, UTC, ...) or with numbers (-2, -4, +5, +7).

the timezone codes seem to be incomplete in Rainlendar. while the work for EST (New York) or MSK (Moscow), they donīt work for IST (Mumbai), JST (Tokyo) or AEST (Sydney) and probably a few more.

if they would be complete, that could help on the second problem:

daylight saving time for the southern hemisphere does not work (it does neither for North America where they start DST on different dates as Europe).

The timezones currently work only with the codes which are defined in the wxWidgets library. You can also define them like this: +/-HH:MM (e.g. -02:00). The DST issue is a more difficult to solve since currently Rainlendar just lets the OS to handle that so it'll work only for the current timezone. I've been planning to add better support for the DST and different timezones but I haven't had time to do it yet.
