icons don't appear in tooltips for events with custom categories, no matter target=30 or 16 (from he's tips) etc. but it works adding target to the built in categories, and icons also appear in the events list for custom categories - very odd.

i was hoping to have country holidays denoted by a flag in the tooltip. it will mean having to have a custom holiday category for each country, but before i change all the files manually i'd like to know it's supposed to work..

There is no difference between the "build in" categories and what you add to the xml file. All are handled the same way. Can you post the modifications that you've made to the file?

testing with the 'island'.. but it's not in the tooltip. i've tried target=16, other combos. thought it might be the category hyphen, but no.

I copy-pasted the code to the original Shadow4's elements.xml and the tooltip showed the icon just fine. Are there any other changes you have made which might affect the tooltip?

wow, very odd. i have a custom skin (copy of shadow4 with changes in progress) unzipped in the \skins folder, along with the shadow4 skin. in Options i've only defined the 'windows' types to use the new skin; 'tooltip' is still using shadow4. nothing in Advanced->Tooltip looks odd.

can you suggest things i might try? rl2 is installed in a separate dir from rl1. might .ini files get in the way?
