Position: On desktop + multiple monitors is bugged 6 Years, 6 Months ago

Using the position: on desktop option in a multimonitor setup does not work correctly. Upon startup of rainlendar, the calendars are moved to an arbitrary location, rendering rainlendar unusable.
My current setup is one monitor at -1024, 0 (1024x768) with the primary monitor at 0, 0 (1280x1024).
Other positioning modes (on top, normal, on bottom) work correctly.

Likewise with my setup on Windows, both monitors running 1600x1200, primary monitor on right. On desktop position moves the calendar, generally off-screen.

Confirmed.
Monitor 1: 1650x1250, to the right.
Monitor 2: 1280x800, to the left.
Trying to put Rainlendar on the desktop of the primary monitor (to the right) puts it more or less in the middle.
My theory is that it's getting the coordinates from screen 1, so it tries to position itself at x: ~1550, but actual coordinates start from the left edge of the left monitor, so it ends up much more to the left side of my working area.
Edit: Looking at the ini file, sometimes rainlendar writes negative positions, which makes it go outside of the screen.

Post edited by: noroom, at: 2006/11/01 07:51

I added some fixes for this to the build 26 (available in beta forum). You probably need to disable the native transparency if the On Desktop setting doesn't work correctly.
