New context menu button? 5 Years, 4 Months ago
Hey there,
is there any possibility to add a new entry to the rightclick menu of events and todos and when I click them, there should be something done with them like changing/adding/setting a certain categorie for them!?
thanks!

I'll have to think about it. I'm not sure how well that would work if the event has multiple categories...

why not doing the follwing as concerning scripting:

1. ability to add one or more event-buttons with particular caption which should execute a certain, userdefined function on the chosen event-id
2. (probably already integrated, but since I don't know scripting yet, I don't know it): feature to

add (is the only thing I need for what I wanna do, but to be more feature-rich also the ability of deleting a category would be nice) a category to a passed event id.

so it would be able to connect both things to add a category by rightclicking.
This would be an awesome feature since it would make speedup hiding events which are done by adding a category which is marked in options to now be shown
WONDERFUL!!
thanks so far!

p.s.: nice new board!

You can actually do that already (with the newer beta versions). The Global_ToggleTaskStatus() in the components.lua changes the status of the task when the button in the front of the task is clicked. With small modifications the same method can be used also the set the category for the event.

Is this only for todos or also for events? because I don't see any icon in front of the events, only a littel circle in front of the todos?!

The skin has the button only for the tasks but it should work the same way also in the event list. The eventlist.xml just need to be modified so that it shows also the button in front of the items.
