I've noticed in the last 2 or 3 betas that on Mac OS X 10.6 that context menus appear behind windows/alarm notifications. This isn't a huge problem on the calendar, event/task lists, etc. since they can be set to be somewhat transparent, but it's now impossible to dismiss specific alarms since the first several context items always display in the background behind the alarm notification.
I wanted to point this out in case this goes beyond just my system.

Does not seem to happen in my system. What window position are you using (On Desktop, Normal or On Top)? Does enabling/disabling the Options->Advanced->"Keep alarm always on top" change anything?

Is anyone besides me unable to get alarms to play with this version or is it just something I'm doing wrong?

Are those alarms for local Rainlendar's events or do they come from some online calendar? Have you verified that you haven't accidentally suppressed the alarms for that calendar?

Yes the alarms are for Rainlandar's events but I have it set to use another music file for the alarm sound which is a .ogg file located in another directory. I have verified that alarms are not suppressed for the Calendar in question (or any of my Calendars).

It doesn't seem to matter what file I use for the alarm sound. Even the default Rainlendar.wav doesn't play. The event box pops up when the alarm is supposed to play and gives me the option to dismiss it, but no sound plays. Otherwise, sound is working fine on my machine.

I had another question and that is whether there is any way to set different default time interval options to be available for selection from the time selection list when creating or editing events, such as, e.g., 8:00 am 8:05 am, 8:10 am, etc., etc., instead of 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, etc.
