Alexander, almost there

I give look to the todolist.xml and the color is set to 255,0,0,255 but still the same, then I just uncheck any category set to the task and doing that it work the way I like, now when a task due time expired it turns red, but if I set again any category, for example "Work", it back to the color set to the category and doesn't turn red when time expired

Any ideas?

If one event has one color of category (less important for you) and at the same time it has another one of overdue status (more important for you) set layer for overdue items higher than layer of category in elements.xml.
Fragment of elements.xml:

<appearance target=... layer="1" ....</category>

Fragment of todolist.xml:
Code:
<overdueitem> <appearance... layer="2" .../>
</overdueitem>

If one event has one color of category (less important for you) and at the same time it has another one of overdue status (more important for you) set layer for overdue items higher than layer of category in elements.xml.
