Ernie, check that the permissions are correctly set for the configuration file: ~/.config/.rainlendar2/rainlendar2.ini

nothing happens actually.....when i go to options and want to select another language in the drop-down menu (e.g. german) there's only english to choose from....

but i don't even get an error message dialog when i drag and drop the language file over the calendar window.....it's like nothing happens at all....i even copied the extracted language file (.mo) into the /usr/share/locale folder (as mentioned before)

I'm using rainlendar2 with Ubuntu 7.10 and I fixed this problem as follows
(I guess you installed rainlendar2 with the *.deb-file):

- exit rainlendar2, if it is already running
- down load the language-file (*.r2lang) for the languge you like, from the internet
- copy the file - with root rights - into the folder: '/usr/share/rainlendar2/locale'
- start rainlendar2 again and you should find the new language.

I used 'Krusedar' for this job, but think of the root rights.

thank you soooo very much my failure was that i copied the files into /usr/share/LOCALE instead of /usr/share/RAINLENDAR2/locale .... that was it!!! thanks a lot!

I have no idea why the drag and drop won't work any more it used to work so fine in the last version!

I'm using rainlendar 2.2 build 51 with Ubuntu 7.10. Works great aside from one problem:

My task and event windows are placed one below the other on my desktop. When I enter a new task into the upper window, the event window below doesn't move downwards. Result is that the windows overlap.

I didn't have that problem with previous versions. Is it a bug or is there a setting to change? Didn't find one...

I have no idea why the drag and drop won't work any more it used to work so fine in the last version!
It would work if you start rainlendar2 with root rights, for example: open a terminal and start rainlendar2 with 'sudo rainlendar2'. Now you could drug and drop the language file into rainlendar2.

But, remember always, you shouldn't work as user: 'root'
